Jilani Welfare Association Karachi has strongly believed in what Doctor Amartyasen, the Nobel Prize winner has said that “Unless women are empowered issues like health, literacy, population etc will remain unresolved problems”. It has also organized many training classes in tailoring for ladies and at the end of training sewing machines are given free to them to make them sustainable. To meet the basic needs of the Aged people especially in poorer sector, Jilani Welfare Association Karachi is planning to establish Senior Citizen’s Shelters somewhere in around Karachi .Irrespective of the reasons why the aged people are being neglected at homes at all levels in all sections of the society-they need solace and sympathy from the society itself as a whole. Hence Jilani Welfare Association Karachi is planning sincerely for that Heaven of the old and the needy.

About Jilani Welfare Association Karachi

Jilani Welfare Association Karachi was started in 2007 in Karachi district Sindh with the aim of helping the needy around the globe, giving top priority to women’s and children. This is brain child of a few educated people Specially Ms.Qamru-us-Nisa Shah who were already engaged and experienced in social service activities in different walks of life. Soon she formed into an association and got it registered in 2007. Though started with a few ,now it has grown into a considerable number almost reaching 100-which included the elite of the area, the doctors, the lecturers ,the lawyers, the teachers, the educationist. The philanthropists, the employees, the social workers and more are associating continuously.
